Characteristics

The Shuine are a tall crustacean-like species with chitin carapace covering most of their body. Their protective exoskeletons are rough, with grooves and bumps overlaying them. Carapace colors often come in bright reds, oranges, and yellows and help them to identify one another. They have quadrupedal digitigrades with four main legs for omnidirectional movement. They have two sets of arms: one large set for climbing and strong movements and a smaller set for object manipulation. Their heads feature tentacle feelers and a beak for cracking shells. Shuine also have gills for breathing in water protected by overlapping chitin layers.

The average lifespan of this race is 80 Earth years but can extend to 200+ with proper nutrition. They reproduce through eggs, with females laying around a dozen at a time

Culture and Society

The Shuine are governed by a tribal council system with two representatives per tribe, and the council elects a sovereign leader.
